If you’re coming from the Bay Area, Amtrak is still a smooth way to get to Tahoe. Multiple Bay cities offer train service to Sacramento, followed by a connecting bus to the South Lake Tahoe Transit Center (SLH). From there, it’s just a 3 to 4 minute walk (or a quick Uber ride) to the host hotels.
Traveling from outside the Bay Area? The best route has always been flying into Reno (RNO) and grabbing a seat on the South Tahoe Airporter shuttle, which stops directly at the host hotels and keeps your arrival easy and stress-free.
